Shift leader's assistant
This is a job description for a shift leader's assistant in a residential drug and alcohol recovery centre.
- Help the shift leader with the practical matters of running the shift. These require a low level of responsibility (e.g. helping residents with chores, maintaining general cleanliness, taking residents to a shop etc.)
 - Adjust to the environment
 - Develop an attitude of observation to recognize potential danger situations and for self-development
 - Develop (or maintain) emotional stability
 - Develop rapport with residents
 - Mentor residents
 - Maintain a safe environment for staff and residents.
