BSBLDR803 Develop and cultivate collaborative partnerships and relationships
This unit is about establishing collaborative partnerships and relationships with business and industry stakeholders. It covers:
- communicating to influence others,
 - cultivating new and existing partnerships,
 - establishing positive collaborative relationships,
 - leading the establishment of a partnership program and
 - establishing reporting mechanisms.
 
How you will be assessed
You will be assessed through:
- Assessor observation on the job
 - Supervisor reference (if the assessor is not the supervisor)
 - Review of your workplace documents (e.g. procedures)
 - Interview/assignment based on the requirements below.
 
Practical
You will be assessed in the workplace as a safe workplace with access to:
- relevant legislation, regulations, standards and codes

 - case studies and, where possible, real situations
 - interaction with others
 You need to show that you have:
- Demonstrated and set an example of skills and knowledge in:

 - Developed collaborative approaches to improve individual, team and organisational outcomes
 - Initiated and implemented partnerships according to relevant regulatory, employment and organisational requirements.

Detailed requirements
1. Communicate to influence relevant individuals and stakeholders
- Generate trust, confidence and support from stakeholders by demonstrating a high standard of personal performance and conduct
 - Implement communication strategies to represent the organisation positively to media, local community and stakeholders
 - Make decisions in consultation with stakeholders and individuals where appropriate
 - Use various influencing strategies to increase the commitment of staff and stakeholders to
 - achieving the organisational requirements and
 - contributing to a desired culture
 - Take on selected community and/or professional engagements that project a positive image of the organisation to the broader community and stakeholders
 
2. Cultivate new and existing partnerships with stakeholders
- Establish outcomes to be achieved from the partnership
 - Analyse models for effective consultation and collaboration within partnerships and apply them
 - Cultivate collaborative communities and partnerships by applying various communication solutions
 - Forge relationships, collaborative communities or partnerships between organisations
 
3. Establish positive collaborative relationships
- Establish processes that help create and maintain a positive, collaborative culture
 - Establish processes to resolve conflict in a fair, equitable and collaborative manner
 - Organise and allocate tasks in a cost effective and equitable manner with clear, quantifiable and agreed performance standards
 - Encourage staff to do activities that develop their personal competence and performance
 - Empower individuals to develop their ways of working within agreed boundaries of competence, cultural, diversity and organisational and legal requirements

4. Lead establishment of a partnership program
